THIS… is a 1989 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 4×4, finished in white with a Cordovan interior.
The attached Carfax history report starts in 2001 and has several gaps, but shows no accidents or mileage discrepancies for the given time period.
According to the build sheet provided in the gallery, factory equipment includes 15-inch wheels, roof bars, cloth upholstery, air conditioning, power windows and door locks, and more as listed below. Modifications reported by the seller are limited to a bull bar.
Jeep’s significantly downsized Cherokee made its debut for 1984. Called XJ internally, it ditched its predecessor’s body-on-frame layout in favor of unibody construction to offer a more comfortable ride on the pavement. It was a risky bet, but it paid off; the XJ nearly doubled Jeep’s retail sales in 1984, and it remained available in America until 2001.
Power comes from a 4.0-liter inline-6 engine, rated at 177 horsepower and 224 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear or all four wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission and a Selec-Trac 2-speed transfer case.
